Oak Harbor has gone a perfect 9-0 against Port Clinton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Rockets will welcome the Redskins at 10:00 a.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.
Oak Harbor's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Fostoria as they made off with a 10-0 win. Considering the Rockets have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Morgan Lalonde made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since April 1st. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Oak Harbor got a massive performance out of Kaitlyn Meloche, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. Hannah Schimmoeller was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Port Clinton). They were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over Bowsher on Thursday. With that victory, the Redskins brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Like Oak Harbor, Port Clinton also got a great game from a two-way player: Ashton Sanchez. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Sanchez has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, Olivia Emerson and Jae Mazur did most of the damage at the plate: Emerson got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and three runs, while Mazur got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Bella Belden, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Port Clinton lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.
Oak Harbor's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Port Clinton, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Port Clinton's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Oak Harbor hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .371. It's a different story for Port Clinton, though, as they've only averaged .250. Will they be able to contain Oak Harbor's hitters?
Everything went Oak Harbor's way against Port Clinton in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Oak Harbor made off with an 18-10 victory. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or do the Redskins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
