After flying high against the St. James Saints on Saturday, the Solebury Spartans came back down to earth. Solebury had to suffer through a rough 92-52 loss at the hands of Westtown.
Solebury's lost on Sunday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tyler Simpson, who scored 16 points. Simpson scored a full 30.8% of Solebury's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Makhai Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 7 rebounds.
Solebury now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Westtown, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Solebury will take on Phelps at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Westtown will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bullis at 4:00 p.m. on December 22nd.
