The Biggs Wolverines will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Hamilton Braves at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Biggs strolled past Williams with points to spare, taking the game 28-14. The win made it back-to-back wins for Biggs.
Biggs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Davis Long, who rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Hudson, who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Hamilton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 52 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-6 win over Trinity on the road. The result was nothing new for Hamilton, who have now won five contests by 24 points or more so far this season.
Hamilton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Omar Sanchez out in front who picked up 137 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Diego Sanchez was another key contributor, throwing for 186 yards and five touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Biggs is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Hamilton, their win on Friday also bumped their record up to an identical 5-2.
Biggs suffered a grim 36-15 defeat to Hamilton when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Will Biggs have more luck at home instead of on the road?
