Baseball Recap: Oakman Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Oakman won against Curry on Monday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Oakman Wildcats beat the Curry Yellowjackets by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-3. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three contests in a row.

Oakman saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hampton Hall, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. What's more, Hall posted two RBI, the most he's had over his last nine matches. Luke Martin was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Oakman's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Curry, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakman will square off against Lamar County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Curry, they will face off against Carbon Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Curry has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
