On Friday, the Quitman Panthers faced the Morton Panthers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Quitman secured a 42-38 W over Morton. The victory was nothing new for Quitman as they're now sitting on six straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Quitman to victory, but perhaps none more so than AUDRIANA HARRIS, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals. HARRIS hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. AIYANNA DEAR was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Quitman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Morton, their loss dropped their record down to 25-2.
Quitman will be playing at home against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Morton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
