Caitlyn Karnes made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, earning three runs.

The team relied heavily on Mariah Branscomb, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Brenna Green was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Cave Spring pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Abingdon, their record is now 21-4.
