The Halifax Academy Vikings are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Fayetteville Academy Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on November 28th. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Monday, Halifax Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-37 to Ridgecroft.
Despite the defeat, Halifax Academy saw an underclassman step up: Hadyen Hilton dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. The game was Hilton's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carolina Corum, who scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Fayetteville Academy had to suffer through a rough 53-10 loss at the hands of O'Neal. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fayetteville Academy in their matchups with O'Neal: they've now lost five in a row.
Halifax Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Fayetteville Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
