The Stevenson Pirates suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 67-41 loss at the hands of Marina. Stevenson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Marina apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2017.
Despite the loss, Stevenson still got an impressive performance from Nile Glover, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals. Glover has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tate Toole, who scored ten points.
Julius Robinson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Marina, scoring 28 points. Robinson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Khalik Kennedy, who scored 12 points.
Stevenson now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Marina, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
Stevenson will head out on the road to take on Watsonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marina, they will be playing at home against Pacific Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pacific Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday.
