It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wake Prep Academy had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Warren County Eagles 66-37. The Guardians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 20 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Karly Beckstrand, who dropped a double-double with 16 boards and 11 steals. Beckstrand is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Despite the loss, Warren County saw an underclassman step up: freshman Iyauna Harley dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Warren County is 9-1 when Harley posts eight or more boards, but 5-10 otherwise.
