Meanwhile, Brecksville-Broadview Heights came tearing into Monday's contest with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 16-7 win. Considering the Bees have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Tess Cozza made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off nine hits. Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Nordonia hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Brecksville-Broadview Heights struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Nordonia couldn't quite get it done against Brecksville-Broadview Heights when the teams last played on April 9th as they fell 10-7. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
