Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Primero

Primero won the last time they faced Hanover, and Mat Pachorek did his part to make sure it happened again. The Primero Bulldogs walked away with a 55-42 victory over the Hanover Hornets on Saturday thanks in part to Pachorek, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. His afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Brett Kendall, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Kendall is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Hanover still got an impressive performance from Junior Diaz, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hector Lopez, who posted six points along with six assists and six boards.

The win made it two in a row for Primero and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Hanover, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.

Primero will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kim/Branson at 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Hanover, they will venture away from home to take on Flagler at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
