The Wall Hawks had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 66-0 victory over Tornillo at home. Considering Wall has won eight contests by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Among those leading the charge was Nathan Pepper, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown. Pepper was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Hagyn Barbee, who rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Wall pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.6 points. As for Tornillo, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Wall will take on Childress at TBD on Friday. Childress will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Tornillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
