Kennedy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Crean Lutheran Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Kennedy can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 41-17 margin over Valencia.
Kennedy can attribute much of their success to Devin Almazan, who threw for 207 yards and four touchdowns. Izaiah Murphy was in the mix too, providing Kennedy with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Crean Lutheran was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 30-24 to Cypress. Crean Lutheran has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Crean Lutheran had strong showings from Daylin Caamano, who picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Justin Dominguez, who rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown.
With Kennedy's victory and Crean Lutheran's defeat, both teams now sport identical 6-3 records.
Kennedy was dealt a bruising 42-7 defeat at the hands of Crean Lutheran in their previous matchup back in September of 2022. Can Kennedy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
