After a string of three wins, the Milton-Union Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were outmatched by Miami East on the road and fell 50-12. Milton-Union has not had much luck with Miami East recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Milton-Union struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Mckayah Musselman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Miami East, scoring 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jacqueline Kadel, who scored eight points.
Milton-Union's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-1. As for Miami East, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
Milton-Union will head out on the road to face off against Twin Valley South at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Twin Valley South will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 764th, while Milton-Union is ranked 263rd). As for Miami East, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Troy Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. Hopefully Troy Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday.
