The Neosho Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 66-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of McDonald County. Neosho was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as McDonald County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Neosho still got an impressive performance from Tyrone Harris, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Martin, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Neosho has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for McDonald County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neosho will take on Carl Junction at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McDonald County, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Nevada at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. McDonald County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
