The Sumrall Bobcats lost against the Purvis Tornadoes back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Sumrall took a 47-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tornadoes.
Purvis' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Systren Eliza Elenus led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Eliza Elenus is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played. Lillee Crider was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Sumrall has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season. As for Purvis, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.
Sumrall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Purvis also has no future games currently scheduled.
