The School of the Ozarks Patriots entered their tilt with the New Covenant Academy Warriors with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. School of the Ozarks walked away with a 62-50 victory over the Warriors on Tuesday. 62 seems to be a good number for School of the Ozarks as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Caleb Widner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Graham Wilhoit was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
School of the Ozarks' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for New Covenant Academy, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. School of the Ozarks will challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Covenant Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Niangua presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in Missouri (the Cardinals are ranked 94th, while the Warriors are ranked 497th).
