St. Bernard's Central Catholic's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the North Polar Bears with a sharp 13-3 win. The Bernardians haven't had any issues with the Polar Bears recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

CJ Pelissier made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jonathan Quigley, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Evan Sallila, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

St. Bernard's Central Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

St. Bernard's Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for North, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
