Rumson-Fair Haven ended up on the wrong side of a rough 62-41 walloping at the hands of Red Bank Catholic. Rumson-Fair Haven has struggled against Red Bank Catholic recently, as their game on Saturday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Red Bank Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tessa Liggio, who scored 13 points along with six assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Liggio has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Addy Nyemchek, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Rumson-Fair Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Red Bank Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rumson-Fair Haven will take on Jackson Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rumson-Fair Haven is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in New Jersey (they are ranked 35th, while Jackson Memorial is ranked 93rd). As for Red Bank Catholic, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Life Center Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 22nd.
