Bloomfield is 6-0 against Gallup since October of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Bloomfield Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Gallup Bengals at 7:00 p.m. Bloomfield is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Bloomfield put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Aztec on the road to the tune of 42-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Bloomfield just coasted through the last quarter.
Meanwhile, Gallup fell victim to Kirtland Central's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 54-0 to the Broncos, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Gallup has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bloomfield's win was their 15th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 9-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.73 points. As for Gallup, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
Everything came up roses for Bloomfield against Gallup when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 49-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bloomfield since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
