Osseo-Fairchild had taken Augusta down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Thunder fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 3-2. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Osseo-Fairchild actually scored more points across those five sets (99-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 17-25, 15-25, 25-20, 15-7.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Eleva-Strum challenged Blair-Taylor on Thursday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Eleva-Strum sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-13, 17-25, 25-19, 25-27, 15-13.
Eleva-Strum's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-3. As for Osseo-Fairchild, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
