Pope John XXIII added to the longest winning streak in Northwest Jersey - American this week by beating Mount Olive, 34-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for Pope John XXIII.
Sparta took down Morris Knolls 59-21 last week, the largest margin of any game. Matt Seville threw for 172 yards and 4 touchdowns in the win.
The Spartans' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Lucas Faria contributed 186 yards. Teddy Fischer helped Sparta's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 53 yards.

Sonny Abramson was a passing and rushing force as Brian Carlson's team bested the Marauders. He completed 9 passes for 185 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 26 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Pope John XXIII's Abramson and Noah Brown have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Abramson has thrown for 2,115 yards this season, while Brown has 28 catches for 631 yards. Faria from Frank Marchiano's team leads the league in rushing with 1,035 yards.
The Spartans made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,327 from 2,943. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 59-21 victory over Morris Knolls last week.
