Willits is 0-10 against Fort Bragg since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Willits Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Fort Bragg Timberwolves at 6:30 p.m. Fort Bragg took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Willits, who comes in off a win.
Even though Willits has not done well against Lower Lake recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Willits came out on top against Lower Lake by a score of 58-48. The win was a breath of fresh air for Willits as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Kooper Dockins was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 27 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Willits' points. Teejay Woods was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Fort Bragg came up short against Middletown on Tuesday and fell 54-42. Fort Bragg has struggled against Middletown recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Cooper Killion, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. The contest was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Andre Chavez-Meza , who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
The win got Willits back to even at 6-6. As for Fort Bragg, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Willits came up short against Fort Bragg in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, falling 56-44. Thankfully for Willits, Rhett Bennett (who scored 20 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
