Football Recap: Strong Effort on D from Landon Church and Ryan Marr Leads Gilpin County over Front Range Christian

If Front Range Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Gilpin County, they should've done a better job of containing Landon Church. The Eagles put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 38-17 win on Friday for which the team can thank Church, who rushed for 180 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 131 receiving yards and a pair of scores. His longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards.

Gilpin County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Church and Ryan Marr. Justin Johnson was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making 15 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Gilpin County's record now sits at 4-2. As for Front Range Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.
