Hunt and South Johnston met for a duel on Friday where Hunt couldn't get it done. The Hunt Warriors fell 27-20 to the South Johnston Trojans. Hunt didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Quinton Price, Tylee Jones, and Jameson Jones picked up one apiece. Jameson has been hot , having also posted six or more total tackles the last five times he's played.
Holt Langston was his usual excellent self, rushing for 64 yards and four touchdowns for South Johnston.
Hunt moved to 4-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for South Johnston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Hunt didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 35-29 victory against West Johnston on the 25th. South Johnston has also already played their next contest, a 27-20 defeat against East Wake on the 25th.
