The Kingstree Blazers will head out on the road to square off against the Lee Central Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Kingstree waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They blew past Mullins 67-30 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-15.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kingstree to victory, but perhaps none more so than JAIDEN MCKNIGHT, who dropped a double-double on ten rebounds and 11 blocks. MCKNIGHT is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of MAKAYLA DUKES, who dropped a double-double on 15 assists and ten steals.
Lee Central posted their biggest victory since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They breezed by Andrews on the road to the tune of 61-11. Given Lee Central's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Andrews is ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kingstree's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Lee Central, their victory was their 14th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2.
Kingstree was able to grind out a solid victory over Lee Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 40-31. Will Kingstree repeat their success, or does Lee Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
