The Harding University Rams will be home for the holidays to greet the Chambers Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Harding University is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Harding University was beaten by North Mecklenburg 81-18. Harding University has struggled against North Mecklenburg recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Chambers came up short against Hough on Tuesday and fell 62-51. While losing is never fun, Chambers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Hough is ranked 122nd).
Despite the loss, Chambers got a solid performance out of Taylor Simpson, who scored 20 points. That's the first time this season that Simpson scored 15 or more points. Jade? Kerr was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Harding University's defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Chambers, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Harding University took a serious blow against Chambers in their previous meeting back in December of 2018, falling 74-28. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Harding University was down 40-14.
