Collegiate had already won five in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Berkeley Carroll Lions. The Dutchmen have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.
Collegiate got a massive performance out of David Youngwood, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Deblasi, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Collegiate was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berkeley Carroll only posted a batting average of .217.

Collegiate wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-8 defeat against Trinity on the 9th. As for Berkeley Carroll, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Ann's at 5:00 p.m. on May 5.
