The Lincolnwood Lancers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 29-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Litchfield. Lincolnwood has struggled against Litchfield recently, as their game on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Litchfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daphney Hartel, who scored 7 points along with 10 rebounds. Chloe Law was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Lincolnwood has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Litchfield, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 2-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincolnwood will take on Sangamon Valley/Tri-City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Sangamon Valley/Tri-City comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Litchfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Hillsboro focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday.
