The Mountain House Mustangs lost against the Vanden Vikings back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mountain House took a 71-54 bruising from Vanden.
When it comes to explaining why Mountain House lost, one person who can't be blamed is Shamar Jones. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The match was Jones' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Williams, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Mountain House struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Mountain House's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Vanden, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Modesto Christian is on a four-game streak of home wins, Vanden a five-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
