Baker County has gone a perfect 4-0 against Eagle's View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Baker County has three straight victories, Eagle's View has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Baker County had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Cornerstone Classical Academy on Wednesday. The Wildcats blew past the Spartans 13-1. The Wildcats not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 19th (when they won 17-2).
Nicholas Chowaniec was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting three hits from his four at bats. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Eagle's View might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Keystone Heights who claimed the real prize. The Warriors came up short against the Indians, falling 16-6.
Daniel Chiong and Joel Ortiz did some serious damage despite the final result: Chiong got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Ortiz went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those doubles marked the first that Ortiz has hit this season.
Baker County's record is now 9-6. As for Eagle's View, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Everything went Baker County's way against Eagle's View in their previous meeting back in February, as Baker County made off with a 17-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
