The Wheatland-Chili Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 79-78 photo finish over Northstar Christian Academy. Winning may never get old, but Wheatland-Chili sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Leading Wheatland-Chili to victory were Jaden Schwenebraten and Leighton Williams. Schwenebraten scored 29 points, while Williams scored 39 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season.
Wheatland-Chili pushed their record up to 14-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for Northstar Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wheatland-Chili will face off against Alexander at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wheatland-Chili has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Northstar Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Lyons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lyons will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Northstar Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
