The Imagine Prep Storm have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Ridgeline Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th. Imagine Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Imagine Prep stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Glenview College Prep 93-7 at home. Imagine Prep's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Aaliyah Chacon and Bella Ernsberger were among the main playmakers for Imagine Prep as the former almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 36 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ernsberger has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaiona Allen, who scored 12 points along with six steals and five assists.
Meanwhile, Ridgeline Academy came up short against East Valley Athletes for Christ on Thursday and fell 56-47.
Imagine Prep's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points per game. As for Ridgeline Academy, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-4.
Imagine Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Ridgeline Academy when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 64-53. Will Imagine Prep repeat their success, or does Ridgeline Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
