Waggener has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Waggener Wildcats and the Braden River Pirates will round out the year against one another at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at. Waggener has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 623 points over their last nine games.
Last Friday, Waggener made easy work of Louisville Collegiate and carried off a 69-47 win.
Meanwhile, even though Parrish Community scored an imposing 55 points on Thursday, Braden River still came out on top. Braden River enjoyed a cozy 73-55 victory over Parrish Community. Given Braden River's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Parrish Community is ranked 346th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Braden River got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Marcus Schade out in front who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The match was Schade's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Isaac Heaven was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six steals and five assists.
Waggener pushed their record up to 4-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Braden River, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
