Volleyball Recap: Ridge Community Beats Lake Region for Their Third Straight Win

Ridge Community had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lake Region Thunder. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bolts have posted since October 1, 2024.

Ainete Rivera paced Ridge Community's offense, picking up 12 kills. Rivera got some help from Tae'Lor Slaughter and her 12 assists. Sophia Fetzer controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

The win got Ridge Community back to even at 6-6. As for Lake Region, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Coincidentally, Ridge Community and Lake Region will both be playing Davenport the next time they take the court. The Thunder will head out to face the Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bolts will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
