Menlo School are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will face off against King's Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Menlo School's pitchers stepped up to hand Evergreen Valley an 11-0 shutout. The Knights' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
The team relied heavily on Jack Freehill, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kc Chavinson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Menlo School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February of 2024.
Meanwhile, King's Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Los Altos on Saturday, taking the game 7-2. That looming 7-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.
Toby Trotter and Dominic Myung made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Trotter pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Meanwhile, Myung pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Trotter gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. At bat, Trotter scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Myung scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Myung a new career-high in RBI (two).
In other batting news, Justin Cho was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Menlo School's record now sits at 2-3. As for King's Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Menlo School took their victory against King's Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0.
