Cross waltzed into their game  on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bridges Prep Buccaneers 64-26. The Stingrays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight  contests by 20  points or more this season.
Cross was led to victory by  Reyannah Maldonado and  Ryan Mayers.  Maldonado  went 8 for 18  en route to 18 points and six  steals, while  Mayers  almost  dropped  a double-double on 14  points and nine  steals. With that strong performance,  Maldonado is now averaging an impressive 2.2  steals per game. Another player making a difference was  Sydney Hollings, who  posted nine points in addition to six  rebounds and four  steals.
 Cross  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 23  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive boards in seven consecutive  matches.
 Despite the  loss, Bridges Prep had strong showings from  Addie Taylor, who  dropped  a double-double on ten  points and 15  boards, and  Raelynn Reeves, who  scored ten points and eight  rebounds. Taylor has been hot for a while, having  posted eight or more  boards the last 11 times she's  played.
Cross' win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 12-9. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.7 points over those games. As for Bridges Prep,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-11.
 Cross wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  47-40  victory against Hilton Head Prep on the 30th. As for Bridges Prep, they have also  already played their next contest,  a  50-46  win against Barnwell on the 31st.
