Cross waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bridges Prep Buccaneers 64-26. The Stingrays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.
Cross was led to victory by Reyannah Maldonado and Ryan Mayers. Maldonado went 8 for 18 en route to 18 points and six steals, while Mayers almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine steals. With that strong performance, Maldonado is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Sydney Hollings, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.
Cross smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.
