Chattanooga Christian not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9th (when they won 9-2). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Knoxville Catholic a 7-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Fighting Irish: they've now won six in a row.
Hannah Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
