While it was all tied up 19-19 at halftime, the Guajome Park Academy Frogs were not quite the San Diego Jewish Academy Lions's equal in the second half on Saturday. Guajome Park Academy took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Diego Jewish Academy. Guajome Park Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as San Diego Jewish Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Diego Jewish Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than David Feigenbaum, who scored 18 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jacob Rissman, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Guajome Park Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for San Diego Jewish Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5.
Guajome Park Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on San Jacinto Leadership Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024. San Diego Jewish Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Rock Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully San Diego Jewish Academy likes a good challenge.
