The Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions will head out on the road to take on the Oxford Prep Griffins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Excelsior Classical Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Excelsior Classical Academy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 70-37 loss at the hands of Roxboro Community.
Excelsior Classical Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Hunter Goss, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three steals, and Malachi Thomas who scored 13 points. Goss has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played.
Meanwhile, Oxford Prep fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Henderson Collegiate on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pride by a score of 62-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
