The West Lincoln Rebels's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took down Lincolnton 54-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Lincoln also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Carolina Robinson was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 25 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 blocks. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of West Lincoln's points. Quinlyn Avery was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Lincolnton's loss came despite strong showings from Curmiya Tillman and Daphca Dyson. Tillman dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Dyson scored five points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
West Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Lincolnton, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Lincoln will take on Bandys at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bandys has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Lincolnton on the road again on Friday and play against Bunker Hill at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Bunker Hill has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
