Two dominant signal callers in Ledger Wight and Tradon Bessinger are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Syracuse Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Davis Darts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 959 yards in their previous games.
Syracuse is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-7 victory over Layton. Considering the Titans have won three matchups by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryker Van Komen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 73 yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kao Prom, who rushed for 41 yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Syracuse was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 347 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 207 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.
Syracuse didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kaleb Hall.
Meanwhile, Davis faced American Fork in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Darts took down the Cavemen 29-15. The 29-point effort marked the Darts' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Davis' receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Bode Sparrow and Jaxton Itaaehau. Sparrow picked up 101 receiving yards and a pair of TDs while Itaaehau picked up 143 receiving yards and one touchdown. Sparrow didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Syracuse's record now sits at 5-1. As for Davis, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Syracuse has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 224 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Davis, though, as they've been averaging only 71.7 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Syracuse took a serious blow against Davis in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 49-10. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Darts' Bessinger, who threw for 258 yards and three TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 32 yards and a pair of scores. Now that the Titans know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
