The Jordan Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jordan has six straight victories, North Raleigh Christian Academy has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Wednesday, everything went Jordan's way against Athens Drive as Jordan made off with a 13-3 win. Considering the Falcons have won three matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Sidney Sharp, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Kylie Specht was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Sharp wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Jordan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, North Raleigh Christian Academy scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 16-11 to John Paul II Catholic. Even if the Knights couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Cora Harmsen was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Gibb, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Jordan's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
North Raleigh Christian Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jordan has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. It's a different story for North Raleigh Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging 11.8 hits. Given Jordan's sizable advantage in that area, North Raleigh Christian Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
