If Marietta wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played West Forsyth, they should've done a better job of containing Andrew Davis. The Wolverines took down the Blue Devils 31-17 on Friday for which the team can thank Davis, who rushed for 233 yards and three scores while picking up 11.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 69 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
West Forsyth didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Davis and Mason Page. Another thorn in Marietta's side was Sullivan Biggs, who picked up two sacks and made four total tackles.
West Forsyth has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 17 points this season. As for Marietta, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
