Softball Recap: Aubrey Beats Lake Dallas for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Aubrey entered their tilt with Lake Dallas on Friday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Falcons. Considering the Chaparrals have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Abby Lynch-Buxton, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carmen Alexander, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Aubrey pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Lake Dallas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.

Coincidentally, Aubrey and Lake Dallas will both be playing Panther Creek the next time they take the field. Aubrey will host Panther Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lake Dallas will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on April 8.
