The Great Falls Bison will take on the Skyview Falcons at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Skyview took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Great Falls, who comes in off a win.
Great Falls proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Russell 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bison have posted since April 18th.

Ava Newmack was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Avery Rains was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Great Falls lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Skyview fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Belgrade on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 10-9. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Taylor Gallardo led a balanced group of hitters, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Ella Martin, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Skyview's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Great Falls, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Great Falls hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Skyview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Great Falls might still be hurting after the 19-3 loss they got from Skyview in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Bison have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
