Parker Casper made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had over his last five games. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Brant Beck was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Brady Coleman, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Rochester kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elwood only managed one hit.
Meanwhile, Whitko was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of South Adams.
Rochester's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Whitko, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.
