The Menendez Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harvest Community. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Adrian Walker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Harvest Community, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walker has scored all season. Elijah Carter was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven steals.
Menendez now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Harvest Community, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Menendez won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Matanzas at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. One thing working in Matanzas' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. As for Harvest Community, they will head out on the road to challenge Faith Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Faith Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Monday.
