With a playoff game on the line, the Community Christian Chargers rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Eagles a 1-0 shutout. Ethan Hollingsworth had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Community Christian.
The victory (which was Community Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 8-5-1. As for Oak Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-1-1.
Community Christian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Bell at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Bell is coming into the match with seven straight wins at home, meaning Community Christian will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. Oak Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
