The Rams' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
 Grayson found their leader in underclassman  Deuce Smith, who threw for 238 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes.  Aiden Taylor was another key player, picking up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Grayson's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged four passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as  Antonio Gibson,  Makhi Brazier,  Jaylen Bell,  and  Bell picked up one apiece. Bell is also on a roll when it comes to  defended passes, as he's  now  defended  at least one in the last three games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Newton's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Grayson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
 Monday's   match might be decided in the on the ground. Newton has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 246.2  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Grayson struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 156.8. It's looking like  Monday's  game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
 Newton didn't have too much breathing room in their  contest against Grayson  when the teams last played  back in September of 2023, but they still walked away with  a  31-27 win.
